In case any of you are data nerds like I am, I thought you might enjoy seeing these two graphics side-by-side which compare data from last year and this year at the four major public universities in Florida. My “BFF” Jenna at The College Navigators makes such great graphics! I know there are so many “kitchen table consultants" out there posting college advice on Instagram. Sometimes it is very hard to know which ones are giving valid advice and which ones are not. Hers is very much the real deal!

If you read my prior post that shows the big matrix with the data from all the public schools, you will see that the numbers here do not match up exactly with that. The matrix breaks down summer admissions versus fall admissions. You will probably remember me talking about how much I love a summer start in that same post.

I will tell you that in prior years, most of my tutoring students were hoping to get at least a 1330 on the SAT so they would get full Bright Futures. The test is being offered on August 22. I have so many students this time around who are trying to get a 1400. Seeing this data side-by-side really helps to see the uptick year over year. I can’t wait to see how the Florida and Florida State early decision plan affects all of this next year!
