University of South Carolina

Here on campus, we have 28,000 undergraduate students. If you consider our graduate students or doctoral students, we have around 38,000 students here on campus. We have about 57% in state students here on campus. We are South Carolina's flagship institution, so our mission is to educate South Carolinians, but we do have a large out of state population, at 43% of out of state students, and we do have all 50 states represented here on campus as well as students coming from over 100 different countries. So we've got a pretty diverse population here on USC’s campus. We also offer a free airport shuttle during the major breaks for our out of state students. I also like to point out that our population is about 24% underrepresented minority communities, as well as we have 20% first generation freshmen. Another noteworthy fact is that our student body is 58% female and 42% male.
