High Point University

It’s known as “the premier life skills university,” and they label themselves as “a God, family, country school.” According to a paper they gave me, “HPU celebrates the fundamentals that make this country great, including personal initiative, free enterprise, patriotism, and more.” There are American flags all over campus, they honor veterans, foster faith, and encourage civic engagement. Most schools only hold campus tours twice a day, and there are so many schools in this area that I wasn’t able to go on an official tour. An admissions representative generously took me on a quick golf cart ride around campus filling me in on a few highlights of their buildings and bought me lunch. I had heard that it looks like Disneyland. Pleasantville might be another good comparison. You’ll get the Disney vibe in my pictures. They also have classical music playing throughout campus on small speakers.
