Dominican University

Dominican University is a small, beautiful school located in River Forest, Illinois. It is 10 miles from downtown Chicago, which provides their students a multitude of internship opportunities. Campus is also five minutes to downtown Oak Park, which is described as a hip suburb. One of their slogans is “Small School, Big Results.” With an average class size of 16 students, never more than 30 students in a class, and a student to faculty ratio of 12 to 1, students are really able to receive individualized attention from their professors. 85% of Dominican’s professors have a PhD or terminal degree in their field. Dominican is designated as a Hispanic serving institution, and 77% of their students are students of color. 100% of their incoming students receive some form of financial aid! They are known for their generous aid packages.
